Mental Health

Inspired and Active Minds – is a mental health recovery support service for the people of Bradford. The launch of the Inspired And Active Minds mental health service will provide Inspired Neighbourhoods the opportunity to embark upon a longer-term strategy of information and education, not only among those sectors of the community that are directly impacted by mental health issues, but to the wider population as a whole. For more information please contact Dr. Wafaa Nawaz 077661 62192

Inspired Neighbourhoods is working in partnership with Bradford City Council and local NHS to fund and resource Inspired And Active Minds, which is designed for people experiencing a range of mental health challenges. We also support those from non-UK backgrounds for whom English is a second or third language and who are unfamiliar with navigating through health and welfare services. Please explore our active projects listed below;

These projects support women and girls with mild to moderate and complex mental health challenges.  We work with our service users to identify clinical and social interventions appropriate to their needs and circumstances.  This enables recovery and builds resilience and independence, leading them to become socially and economically active.

The project provides a range of daycare and support services, including: therapeutic groups, psychological therapy groups, support groups, and activity-based groups. It also provides information, outreach and advocacy, community support and direction, emotional support and relaxation sessions.

Tapestry is focused intervention project to women and girls of all backgrounds.  For further information please contact the Tapestry team on tel. 01274 307639 or email

Naye Subah is a culturally sensitive project that focuses on supporting women and girls from South Asian backgrounds.  For further information please [click here] or contact the Naye Subah team on tel. 01274 307639 or email .
